Commemorative Honor Plaque Program
The National Warplane Museum is offering a unique way to honor a service member who is a relative, friend of yours, or loved ones as part of our "Return to Normandy: 2014" Program.
We will fly a flag reserved in your service member's name in our C-47, "Whiskey 7," from Geneseo, NY across the North Atlantic to Cherbourg, Normandy. Your flag will then jump with a member of the Liberty Jump Team over the same drop zones used by the members of the 82nd Airborne Division when they jumped out of "Whiskey 7," in the early morning hours of June 6, 1944. These jumps will be part of the commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day. The cost of this plaque as shown above is $250.
